A seriously cool and increasingly hard-to-find version of Fender’s Tim Armstrong Hellcat! This Limited Edition Ruby Red Hellcat was produced as a run of just 750 guitars and features a finish personally selected by Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong. The Ruby Red color was a fitting nod to one of Rancid’s most recognizable songs, “Ruby Soho.”
Based on Armstrong’s longtime Fender acoustic that became one of his primary songwriting tools, the Hellcat combines a comfortable concert-sized body with plenty of punk-rock personality. This limited edition stands apart with its Matte Ruby Red body finish, contrasting matte black headstock and pickguard, aged white tuner buttons, and the model’s unmistakable Hellcat fretboard inlays.
Underneath the looks is a solid mahogany top with mahogany back and sides, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The 25.3" scale and compact concert body make this a comfortable, easy-playing acoustic that's equally at home as a songwriting companion, strummer, or plugged-in stage guitar.
Electronics are handled by the factory Fishman Isys III system, providing an active onboard preamp, tuner, volume, and tone controls.
