This Fender Custom Shop ’59 Stratocaster NOS in British Red is a vintage-style Strat built to exacting Custom Shop standards, delivering timeless looks, inspiring playability, and classic Strat tones with refined details throughout. Built in 2009 as a New Old Stock model, this guitar retains a clean, unaged finish while offering the build quality and feel that Fender’s Custom Shop is known for.
Finished in a thin lacquer Faded Fiesta Red (British “English” Red request) over an alder body, the guitar pairs a beautiful aesthetic with resonant tone. The gold hardware throughout—including the vintage-style synchronized tremolo, tuners, and screws—adds an elegant touch to this classic build.
The dark rosewood fretboard sits atop a ’60s-style maple neck with a comfortable vintage carve and a 7.25” radius, paired with vintage frets for that authentic Strat feel under your fingers.
Loaded with a trio of Fender Custom Shop single-coil pickups, this Strat delivers everything from glassy cleans to biting lead tones while maintaining the unmistakable Stratocaster character that made these guitars a staple in every player’s arsenal.
This example is in near-mint, basically brand-new condition, showing only the faintest evidence of handling as a 2009 NOS piece. It includes all of the original case candy, COA, and the original Fender tweed hard-shell case. The guitar has been professionally set up in-house and is ready to go straight out of the case.
Features:
Faded Fiesta Red – Thin Lacquer NOS Finish: A beautifully executed thin lacquer finish over an alder body, requested as “British Red” (English Red), with the look and feel of a well-preserved vintage Strat.
Gold Hardware Throughout: From the bridge to the tuners to every screw, this Strat features full gold hardware for a refined aesthetic paired with functional stability.
’60s Style Neck with Dark Rosewood Board: The comfortable vintage “C” profile, dark rosewood fretboard, and 7.25” radius offer a playing experience true to the era while remaining versatile for modern players.
Custom Shop Single-Coil Pickups: Classic Strat tones with clear highs, warm lows, and dynamic response across all pickup positions.
Near-Mint NOS Condition with Original Case and COA: This guitar is in near-mint condition and comes with its original Fender tweed hard-shell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and all case candy included.
Why We Think You'll Love It:
Custom Shop craftsmanship, timeless looks, and the rare pairing of a Faded Fiesta Red NOS finish with gold hardware make this Strat a standout in any collection while being a joy to play. If you’re looking for a premium Strat that feels like a pristine vintage piece while retaining Custom Shop reliability, this is your next guitar.
