Personally, I find it easy to get lost in the sauce watching the dancing patterns that this maple top produces - it is 3 Dimensional! A dark rosewood fretboard satisfyingly matches the dark backed neck and adds a cool layer of contrast between the vanilla-cake like body of this semi-hollow Les Paul. Super lightweight and rings like a bell - the perfect mixture of ES-335 and Les Paul Standard!
