The Original "Solid Guitar" (SG)

//

 A Gibson Les Paul Custom SG in a stunning Pelham Blue finish. Made in 2000, this rare guitar is based on an original 1961/62 Les Paul. The design of this model would later be known by the nickname "Solid Guitar" more commonly known as the SG! This guitar changed the game over at Gibson in the early 60s as the introduction to one of their most fruitful and popular models.

This guitar features a mahogany body and neck with a bound ebony fingerboard. Loaded with 3 PAF style '57 classic Hum-bucking pickups controlled by a three-way toggle switch pumping power over a 24.75" scale length neck with 22 frets on a 12" fingerboard radius. All gold hardware including vintage-style Kluson deluxe tuners and an ABR-1 bridge with an aftermarket Maestro Vibrola tailpiece giving this piece a look that is almost as contagious as the sounds it can produce.

This guitar is in overall great condition with no breaks, repairs, or re-sprays. There is a small ding behind the headstock, a larger ding under the pickguard, a finish checking line by the input jack, and a light belt buckle wear on the back. Please see the photos below.
