If you know, you know — the J-40 is one of Martin’s best kept “big body” secrets.
This one is a super clean, virtually brand new example that delivers everything you’d want from a high-end Martin: big, piano-like low end, clear and articulate highs, and tons of headroom. The jumbo body gives it a bit more air and depth compared to a dread, but it still stays balanced and controlled.
Visually, it’s classic Martin in the best way — tight-grain spruce top, beautiful rosewood back and sides, and understated but classy appointments like the abalone hex inlays and multi-stripe rosette.
Neck feel is smooth and comfortable, making it easy to play whether you’re strumming hard or digging into fingerstyle. It’s been fully checked over here and is ready to go.
Condition-wise, this one is in excellent shape with little to no signs of use — about as close to new as it gets without the new price tag.
Comes with the original Martin hardshell case.
